Morgan appeared in a film on AIDS awareness and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She serves as a member on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives to combat the disease and testified in the Congressional Special Committee regarding AIDS Education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her several times to assume his place at AIDS activities. And she co-hosted an AIDS Awareness Special alongside news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys to be a part of Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. Morgan co-starred on the ABC TV series Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zeerneck and Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams also appeared. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the film, a psychological thriller that was produced by USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the most impressive ratings to date.
